Implementing new Walloon energy tariffs
On the Walloon energy market, the regulation of distribution tariffs is defined each year by the CWaPE (Walloon regulator). The tariffs for 2025 and 2026 have been revised to reflect the evolution of costs related to energy distribution, but also to address the energy transition: network costs linked to energy sharing, a new calendar for dual-rate meters, the introduction of an incentive tariff, etc. To ensure the smooth implementation of these new tariffs and guarantee compliance with regulatory obligations, Atrias requested the support of Methis Consulting to coordinate the implementation in the CMS (Atrias) and the alignment with the market (DSOs and suppliers).

Methis Consulting fulfilled the following role within this project.
- The development of a project plan: defining the complete project roadmap, identifying all key steps, from the analysis of the new tariffs to their integration into the CMS systems.
- Stakeholder coordination: alignment between the different organizations involved (Arewal, Ores, Resa and the energy suppliers).
- Supervision of implementation: monitoring execution and team progress.
- Risk management: setting up structured risk monitoring, with clear acceptance criteria for each decision, ensuring the project meets deadlines.
- Definition of the test plan: designing and supervising the testing strategy.
- Deployment follow-up and post-live support: ensuring that the launch of the new tariffs runs smoothly, monitoring potential issues, and providing support to teams after go-live.
